Latest player under the spotlight is Shropshire based Ian Booth who makes the long jpurney every week to play for the Nursery in the Premier league.

Have a read of his "Bowling" Profile. Anyone, and I mean anyone can have a go as I'm sure every player has something interesting to share regardless of what level they play at. What about some of our more senior bowling colleagues who remember the days when there were 2 and 3 deep watching parks matches, and when Dennis Mercer was THE player to beat. Or some who are new to the game and have a different perspective on things.

Anyway, why not have a go at the profile thing yourself by dowloading the questionnaire HERE (click 'Save' when it opens, or copy and paste into something like Microsoft Word). The questions are only a guideline so feel free to add in extra detail or leave out bits you don't fancy, or send something completely different, then email back to us :- feedback@stockportbowls.co.uk and next 'It Could Be You'.

Name :Ian Booth

Age : 22

Occupation : Area sales manager.

Club(s) : Chester Road, Nursery, Woore

Bowls you use : 2 10 ½ premier bowls

Best game you've ever played : Either beating Gary Ellis 31 - 27 On Wharton Cons or Chris Hayes 21 - 5 on Nursery.

Best player(s) you've ever beaten : Gary Ellis

Your best bowling quality : Probably being able to strike my way to winning when im not playing to well

Your worst bowling weakness : Playing under bad lights.

Best bowling achievement : Winning Burslem Suburban or Pontesbury open.

Biggest bowling disappointment : Personally: losing in Semi-Final of junior all England.

Team: Losing in a play off in semi final of the crossfield cup to N.Mids

One rule you'd introduce/change : Stamping and wearing shorts on really hot nights ( aslong as you wear the team shirt with them )

Favourite green : Wharton Cons/Nursery

Most dreaded other green : Garswood Hall. Never played it but don't like it already

Ambition : Win the Crossfield cup. Win the All England

Funniest bowling moment : Seeing Paul Latham fall through a hedge after Chester Road won the County cup or watching 4 strippers popping there heads over the hedge just as the final was starting in the IOM and singing, 'Ranger ranger you're the best, if you win we'll show our chest'. Ian Nicholson's face was priceless.

Best piece of advice you could give : Never play the occasion, always play your opponent.
