Latest player under the spotlight is another young player, Ben Stapleton from the Buersil club, another of Greater Manchester's up and coming players and a member of their junior county side.

What about some of our more senior bowling colleagues who remember the days when there were 2 and 3 deep watching parks matches, and when Dennis Mercer was THE player to beat. Funniest bowling moment : Playing away for federation in Derbyshire. I ran onto the green trying to stop the ‘running bowl' and ended up flat on the floor. Not only did I ruin that ends of bowls, but I also knocked about 3 other jacks away! Lol!

Best piece of advice you could give : Stick at the game. Everyone has bad days so don't be discouraged by a bad performance (believe me, my form is like a light-switch!)
